Sadie Dog Fund The Sadie Dog Fund helps dogs with special needs by offering funding to pet guardians that need financial assistance. Special needs that qualify are surgery, therapy or treatment that enhances quality of life for the animal, through veterinarian’s recommendation.
Spay/Neuter Program - City of Lincoln Funding to help with the costs of spay or neuter for cats and dogs is available to those that qualify financially. The amount provided varies depending on the size and gender of the dog (Female under 50lbs $90 and $105 for over 50lbs/ Males under 50lbs $70 and $85 over 50lbs). A Lincoln vet must be used and the animal must be licensed and have a current rabies vaccination or a deposit must be given for the license before the procedure . Nebraska Rescue Council Provides a forum where state-licensed, animal shelters and rescues can work together to promote one another, reduce euthanasia and provide information to the public about our organizations.
Voice for Companion Animals (VCA) Provides a pet food pantry in rural Southeast Nebraska. Conducts traveling educational workshops for the purpose of educating the public on animal welfare.
Petfinder Petfinder is an online, searchable database of animals who need homes. It is also a directory of more than 13,000 animal shelters and adoption organizations across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Organizations maintain their own home pages and available-pet databases.
No Kill Advocacy Center Nathan Winograd and the No Kill Advocacy Center created the nation’s first No Kill community. They now promote, advocate, educate and create No Kill communities.

Best Friends Animal Society The largest No Kill animal sanctuary. They are located in Utah and are focused on a no kill mission and helping animals most at risk. They are dedicated to making Utah one of the first no kill states.
